About Us

Dutchmen Equipment is located in Camrose, Alberta, Canada (approximately 75 kms south of the provinces capital Edmonton). Dutchmen Equipment was founded in 2001 by John van der Werf, a well recognized journeymen technician with over 30 years of experience in the heavy equipment trade. The company began with John and his service truck, and soon expanded in 2003 to entail another Journeymen technician, his son Jesse, and a second service truck. Throughout the past 8 years John and Jesse have grown Dutchmen Equipment Ltd into a heavy equipment service, sales and rentals company.

Our theory is, who better to sell and rent equipment than the people who fix it? With this in mind Dutchmen Equipment now employs approximately 40 employees, including licensed shop and field technicians, welders, sales staff, and office personnel. All technicians are extensively trained for Caterpillar, Hitachi, John Deere, Komatsu, including many other heavy equipment makes. The goal of Dutchmen Equipment is to maintain customers equipment, as well as our own rental equipment to the best of our ability. The staff of Dutchmen Equipment believe in customer support, and this is a main objective.
